- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips

- Preheat Oven Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin or lightly grease.
- Mix Dry Ingredients Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in sugar until well combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients In another bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine & Fold Pour wet into dry and stir just until combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips—don’t overmix!
- Fill & Bake Divide batter evenly into muffin cups (¾ full). Bake 18–20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool & Serve Let cool in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature with milk or coffee.
