Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook beef – Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat.
- Make sauce – In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, thyme, salt & pepper.
- Layer ingredients – Arrange half of the potatoes in the dish, top with beef & onion, then pour half of the sauce. Repeat layers.
- Add cheese – Sprinkle cheddar evenly over the top.
- Prepare topping – Mix breadcrumbs & melted butter, sprinkle over cheese.
- Bake – Cover with foil, bake 45 minutes. Remove foil, bake 15 minutes until golden & bubbly.
